James Trevor 'Jamie Oliver MBE born 27 May 1975, also known as The Naked Chef, is a British chef, restaurateur and media personality. Jamie Oliver grew up in Clavering, Essex, England, where his parents ran a pub, "The cricket players", and used to rehearse in the kitchen.
Oliver moved to The River Cafe, Fulham as deputy, where he was noticed by the BBC in 1999 when his show The Naked Chef and his cookbook debuted at number one bestseller in Britain.
Oliver conceived and established the Fifteen charity restaurant where he trained 15 disadvantaged young people to work in the hospitality industry. Oliver began a formal campaign to ban unhealthy food in British schools and get kids to eat healthy, tasty, nutritious food instead.
